How to measure Cable Length:
For a New Installation:
Measure A, centre of steering wheel to gunwale, plus B, dash to transom, plus C, gunwale to centre of transom.
Cable length for transom, stringer and splashwell mount = A + B + C minus 150mm.
Cable length for tilt tube mount = A + B + C plus 150mm.
For Rotary Steering Cable Replacement:
Measure Existing Cable as follows:
Measure plastic cable jacket (casing, dimension "Y") in inches, add
18", and round up to next even foot. Order that length cable.
