Compact lever drag overheads with dual gears and castability — the new Speedmaster LD are multi-purpose reels that will slot right in to a number of offshore fishing scenarios.
Available in four sizes, the new Speedmaster Lever Drag overheads feature S Concept Design, a single piece frame, dual speed Hagane Concept gears, 4 SA-RB bearings, generous line capacities — even more so if utilising braided line such as Power Pro — and a drag range to match. On top of all this, they can also be cast, making them incredibly versatile light/medium tackle reels.

The Rod
Purpose built light-tackle lure rods enveloped in darkness.
Designed from the ground up by the team at Shimano New Zealand, the Blackout range offers anglers class-leading selection of slow-jigging rods for finesse light-tackle fishing applications.
Starting with a selection of custom-built mandrels, the Blackout features Shimano’s innovative T45 construction. The blank is built by rolling graphite tape at a linear 45-degree angle and reinforcing it with two sheets of graphite rolled at opposing angles. This creates a lightweight blank with outstanding recovery and sensitivity. Fuji Alconite guides have been used throughout the build, ensuring the Blackout offers the trouble-free performance expected by experienced lure fisherman.
While a Fuji soft-touch reel seat combines with exceptionally comfortable Winn grips to provide the Blackout with a unique feel previously only found in custom built rods.
