TruDesign Certified Ball Valves are designed and made in New Zealand for use in marine applications above and below the water line.
The body of the Ball Valve is manufactured in glass-reinforced nylon composite with high impact and tensile strength resulting in a light weight unit, free from corrosion and electrolysis issues.
The ball and sealing rings utilize a PTFE polymer to ensure a smooth action, and continuous ease of operation over many years. The Ball Valve is available in both BSP and NPS Parallel thread forms and can be locked in the closed position for use on toilet waste outlets.
Features:
- ISO 9093-2021 Small craft -TRUDESIGN Skin Fittings and Ball Valves comply with ISO 9093:2021 and certified by the International Marine Certification Institute (IMCI).
- For sizes ¾” through to 3”
- Excludes the ½” size.
- American ABYC H-27 – 500Lb static load test - TRUDESIGN Skin Fittings and Ball Valves meet the American ABYC H-27 – 500Lb static load test; Seacocks, Thru-Hull Fittings, and Drain Plugs – independently verified by IMANNA Laboratory Inc.
- For sizes 1¼” through to 3” the ABYC Collar it is not a requirement to meet this static load test.
- TruDesign ABYC Load Bearing Collar is required for the size ¾ and 1” to meet this static load test.
- The ½” does not meet the 500Lb static load test with or without the ABYC collar
- Manufactured from a glass-reinforced nylon composite - High strength and light weight.
- Immune to corrosion and electrolysis - Long life with no concerns over decreased performance due to corrosion
- Chemical resistant - Impervious to diesel, petrol and antifouling paints
- UV resistant - Will not degrade or discolour with ultraviolet light from the sun.
- Large operating temperature range (-40° to +110°C)
- High quality surface finish - Will not discolour with green film as similar bronze fittings do.
- Comply to ISO standard 9093:2021 and certified by IMCI.
- Complies with ABYC H-27 500Lb standard for sizes 1 inch through 3 inch and 3/4" when used with TruDesign ABYC load bearing collar.
