Sopac hatches are moulded from ASA plastic, a stronger, more durable and high UV resistant grade that will not become brittle with age. Hatch lids open 180° and when closed they completely conceal the countersunk fastenings. Lid shape deflects water away from the “knife edge” seal that ensures hatches are weathertight when installed on rigid flat horizontal and vertical surfaces. Contoured handles twist open and close heavy duty “dogs” to create a positive latch. With a low profile of just 13mm above deck they look good in the surroundings of high quality boats of all sizes whether constructed in aluminium, composite or timber. Intrusion below deck is 18mm.

Reinforced lid with non skid surface. The lid hinges through 180 degrees and completely covers the mounting flange, concealing the fastenings and deflecting water away from the hatch seal. The seal ensures weatherproofing when the hatch is mounted on vertical surfaces. Contoured handles provide a positive twist lock action and easily life grip. Protrusion above deck is only 17mm. Intrusion 20mm. Screw holes are 5mm counterstruck.
