The Rod
The Shimano Eclipse range of rods are perfect for newcomers to fishing. They are high on performance and quality, but not on price point.
These rods can absorb all sorts of rough treatment (within reason!) and like most rods, it's the tip that cops it the worst. Shimano's clear glass tip design blends beautifully with the rest of the blank for added strength and protection, while still retaining bite sensitivity when needed. Cosmetics feature a solar eclipse and the black blanks with black thread and bronze and gold trim give the Eclipse rods a real touch of class, but not at a huge cost.
